What times can you be on?
It depends on the day. Weekdays about 4 PM - 3 AM (My sleep schedule is messed up)
Why do you want to become Staff?:
Heard you guys needed the help and I thought I'd come along and use my expertise of staff requirements and the job itself. Plus you're low on staff and I wanted to help fix that problem. Plus I love the server and everyone in the community and I want to see the server grow because I like to see a server do well.
I like the job of staff as it gives me something to do when I'm lying around bored as I normally do. Now I'm free more I can just no life staff.
Do you have a mic?
I do yes, I'm just a little anxious in the sound of my voice so I tend to stay away from it but can use my mic if needs be. I'm starting to use it a bit more as I'm gaining confidence in my own voice.
Why do you think you personally should become Staff?:
I have experience in staffing in other games and servers and I think that can be put to use on this server. Plus I have plenty of tricks that make the job much easier. Such as; act calm and act like they're not in trouble so they're more likely to confess to any rule-breaking. Plus I have a good work ethic and I understand when I can't deal with a situation and require help from another staff member.
Any Staff experience from other games?:
I've staffed for other games, servers and outside job experience in things like this.
In-Game Scenarios:
- A player tells you that someone is making money while they have a building sign up. What do you do and why?
- I'd ask the player if he is completely sure if he is making money in the base. If he's completely sure about what he is saying I would go into the base and look to see if the person is making money in the base. If he is I'd tell him to either pocket the printer (if it isn't a printer I'd tell him to remove the building sign) and tell him he can't have both money-making objects with a building sign. Then I'd leave the base to tell the reporter it's been completed and close the sit.
- Player X hits player Y for 1 point of armor damage and player Y kills player X. Player X reports RDM, what do you do and why?
- I'd bring both players and hear out both sides of the story to see if it matches up completely and ask Player X why he shot him, to begin with, and if the reasoning isn't valid I'd explain why he was in the wrong and how he can avoid it and also explain player Y had full reason to kill him as it was self-defense. At the end of the sit, I'd return both players. Verbally warning Player X for ARDM.
- Player X calls player Y a (whatever horrible insult comes to mind) over voice. Player Y asks for an admin for disrespect, what do you do and why?
- I'd bring Player X and ask for his side first and after he explains what happened I'd ask if he had video evidence of what happened. If he did I'd review the supplied evidence and bring Player Y up to the sit. If player Y confesses to say it I might go a bit easier depending on what was said. If it was really vulgar like racial/homophobic slurs I'd warn him. If it was just a small name then I'd verbally warn then returning both players.
- 3 players report player X for RDM but you cannot find the player in question, what do you do and why
- I'd question all three players and check logs for each case. If it was the same person I'd ask for video proof of what happened. If they can supply I'll go over it and check. If it is RDM on all three cases I'd ban the guy's steam ID for MRDM/LTAP and refund the players on what they lost.
- A player accidentally crossfires someone in a raid and the player that got crossfired calls an admin for RDM, what do you do and why?
- I'd bring both players and ask what happened. If it is crossfire as the guy says I'd explain that crossfire isn't a valid reason to kill someone and tell him to be more careful with his shot verbally warning him. I'd also ask the victim if he lost anything and if he did I'd refund him for what he'd lost returning both players.
I am very open-minded with situations, I'm studying psychology in college and I'm from Ireland, that's all you really need to know about me. I strive to improve in any way that is needed I see improvement as an important aspect in staff teams or anything in general.
P.S:
I know I've not been active over the last few months I just had no reason to be on Jungle plus I was incredibly busy. I will be more active within the community now as I'm gained interest back into Jungle and been much less busy. I won't be busy until about May but I will give about 2 weeks' notice.
